Creating Safe Communities
Research has shown that various factors must connect to make communities safe and great places to live. In order for families to feel safe raising children in our communities, we must collaborate and work together for the betterment of our community as a whole. When each sector of our community such as community development, criminal justice system, education, business/employment, and health care work together, a shared understanding is developed and supports building a safe community.
There are simple ways each stakeholder in the community can contribute to creating a safe place to live.Â
Make friends with neighbors
Organize neighborhood safety programs
Develop community partnerships
If you see something, say something

What are some ways we all can contribute to creating safer communities?
Creating safer communities requires a collective effort from all stakeholders.
